James takes a trip to Meccano HQ to gather the materials needed to make his bridge. Once the building materials are acquired, the ok signal is given to the engineering students to start building.

Lovely…
"Hes got my Meckano"
Bring back the original Meccano !
That meccano guy is so far from reality it’s stupid no wonder kids these days can’t even change their oil or a flat tire we’re not teaching them anything useful anymore.
Thing is, the top toy company in the world right now is Lego, which still is about as complex as it used to be, with the new added dimensions of technic, which adds mechanisms and more complexity, and even computerized stuff that gets really crazy if you look at the Great Ball Contraption.
There's still a market for this kind of stuff even if there's kids who like simpler play.
That girl at 9:00 is cute.
The very last part was the best :"Mr May I am fed up with you…". Hahahahaha.
Im am 37 yo and today 9-6-19 was the first time in my life I heard about Meccano. Lol.
I thought the DHL driver who walked through the door was carrying baguettes
-1 for the meccano sales guy 🤮🤮🤮
The guy that owns meccano is totally wrong!
5:30 sounds exactly like the film industry!
Yes, they were green!
1:12 Another example of dumbing down society. 🙁
In the 90's I used to build articulating robots out of my Erector set with little rubber gaskets and ball joints. I made my own ball joints out of these little rubber spherical gaskets of some kind and the screws that came with the set, and would place them at the joints. My dad was a tinkerer and maker, and he had a shop with shelves packed with those plastic parts drawers chock full of little bits that I could use. I remember sitting Indian style on the ground in the middle of his shop with the plastic drawers laid out all around me, Philips screwdriver in hand, cuts all over my little fingers trying to figure out the best way to get the proper motion into the legs. What an incredible time that was. If toys today were cutting up kids fingers, parents would flip their lids.. lmao
You can't do that with the current generation of these sets. They've taken all of the creativity and usability out of them. I also loved the Knex toys, but the same has happened with them. They've gone from being able to build whatever you wanted to these predetermined sets with very little in terms of variation to be had from the kits. Creativity has gone out the window. People no longer learn from childhood how to think for themselves. They're shown and told how to think, instead.
OH NO NOT THE FRENCH!!!!
nice one 9:01
The French just fuck up everything. Isn’t there something to run away or surrender from? Go tend to that
at 4:00 that must be James' son
There’s a problem.. there’s a slope
oo aah, French wan kah
love the student's sarcasm, I know exactly that feeling whenever a professor writes "a well known engineering firm has asked you to propose a solution"
Only successful companies run windows xp
Meccano-cally disappointed James May
Erector sets rule. Viva America.
What an idiot. The idea MORON is for the kit to teach the kid, not the lazy kid the change the product. Idiot French.
Good Night , muy interesante ste video sobre objetos que pueden ser hechos y dirigidos a control remoyo, comparti este video por facebook, okm saludos desde Valera, estado Trujillo , Venezuela,
Nothing like being dumped into the bin at the end of your little spy game.😄😄😄
complete videos pls, not 10 mins millennial attention span shit
Much preferred the old, classic Meccano.
